Need a commercial business loan - what is the maximum score DNB can give?

When your small business needs a commercial business loan, Dun & Bradstreet have several scores and ratings associated with them, the most important of which are used to determine the credit-worthiness of your company. The D&B PAYDEX Score is arguably the most influential DNB score that other businesses and lenders take in to account when deciding whether or not to lend you money or do business with you. The PAYDEX scoret is an almost literal reflection of how you pay your bills. With this score, one can determine whether your small business pays its bills on time or late.

The highest DNB PAYDEX Score attainable is 100 - D&B considers people with this score to anticipate their payments. A  DNB score of 100 means that the business pays its bills, on average, 30 days sooner than terms request. A DNB score of 99 indicates that a business pays its bills 29 days in advance. At 90, a business pays its bills 20 days in advance. From 89-80, the amount of time decreases in increments of two. 18 days in advance for 89, 16 days for 88, and so on. A DNB score of 80 indicates that the business pays its bills exactly on the date required of it - no sooner and no later. The lower the DNB score gets, the later the business is in paying its terms.

A high DNB score is preferred, but realistically, no business is likely to obtain a score of 100 with DNB, while it is very easy for a business to obtain the lowest score of 1 by being excessively late on payments. The PAYDEX score isn't determined by any complex mathematical algorithm - it is simply a dollar-weighted average. For example, if you pay a $100 bill ten days in advance (an 85) and two $100 bills 3 days late (a 78), your score will round out to about an 80. If you pay one $100 bill ten days in advance and one $200 bill 3 days late, it'll also equal about 80.
