Minority Grants

In the pursuit of financing, there are probably hundreds of different options out there to help you get off the ground, most of which have to be repaid with interest over a certain period of time - however, there are a few resources for "free money" out there, in the form of grants. Most notably, minority grants, which are offered to minority business owners for many different reasons. Finding and applying for these grants may be a little difficult, but there are resources and individuals out that can lead you in the right direction to help you build your funds for starting a business.

To that end, some of the resources available include the Minority Business Development Agency, and the annual, week-long Minority Enterprise Development conference they hold. This federal agency and the respective conference it holds can host a wealth of information in learning where to find resources for grants and financing - most of them come through the government, although there are some private organizations that may be willing to assist locally if you take a look around.
